The Leipziger Buchmesse and the accompanying multi-day festival Leipzig Liest are starting. The fair will run from March 19 to 22. The Polish stand was organized by the Book Institute in cooperation with the Leipzig branch of the Polish Institute in Berlin.
As part of the seventh edition of the Bliżej Polski (Closer to Poland) programme in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, on Wednesday, March 11, the “Academia Coffee” of the Centre for Polish Language and Culture at the Faculty of Philosophy of Matej Bel University organized an event in cooperation with the Book Institute and the Polish Institute in Bratislava. These institutions once again promoted Polish reportage to the local audience. The guest of the event was Joanna Czeczott, a Polish reporter and political scientist.
In 2026, some new translations of Polish books were published abroad, including the Croatian translation of Leo Lipski’s Piotruś, the Italian translation of Szczepan Twardoch’s novel Null, and a selection of poems by Wojciech Bonowicz in English.
