“Sklepy cynamonowe” in Danish and other new translations of Polish books

As part of the ©Poland Translation Programme, the Book Institute has recently funded a number of translations. Of particular note is the translation of “Sklepy cynamonowe” into Danish, which was translated by Judyta Preis and Jørgen Herman Monrad and published by the Turbine publishing house.

Additionally, the following translations have recently been released:

  • Co uczucia robią nocą? by Tina Oziewicz, illustrated by Aleksandra Zając, translated into Spanish (translated by Ernesto Rubio, Ediciones Siruela, Spain),
  • Woda. Historia pewnego porwania by Szymon Opryśek, translated into Spanish (translated by Marta Słyk, Itineraria Editorial, Spain),
  • Miasto Tańczącego Karpia by Aleksandra and Daniel Mizieliński, translated into Italian (translated by Giulia Olga Fasoli, L’ippocampo, Italy),
  • W morze! by Piotr Karski, translated into Italian (translated by Gabriela Rogowska, Quinto Quarto Edizioni, Italy),
  • Ale odlot! Rysunkowa historia lotnictwa by Jacek Ambrożewski (translated by Frédéric Constant, Gallimard Jeunesse, France),
  • Następny do raju by Marek Hłasko (translated by Fernando Otero Macías, Automática Editorial, Spain),
  • Ucho igielne by Wiesław Myśliwski (translated by Bill Johnston, Archipelago Books, USA).
