From November 14 to 16, 2025, the China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF) will take place, the largest children’s book fair in China and one of the most important industry events in Asia.

As in previous years, Poland will present its publishing offer in the Copyright Zone at an 18 m² information booth. The participation of Polish publishers in the fair is organized by the Book Institute in collaboration with the Polish Institute in Beijing, which is a co-organizer of the event.
In Shanghai, the following will be present: Tatarak Publishing – Zuzanna Gillert, Rights & Licensing by Magda Szpyrko-Ankiewicz, and KaBooks – Literary Agency of Karolina Jaszecka.
The participation of two attendees has been funded by the Book Institute, and one by the Polish Institute in Beijing.
B2B Meeting with Chinese Publishers
The trip was preceded by an online B2B meeting with Chinese publishers, which took place on November 5, 2025. The event was organized jointly by the Book Institute and the Polish Institute in Beijing.
Representatives from the following Polish publishers and agencies participated in the meeting: Dwie Siostry Publishing, Znak Publishing, Tatarak Publishing, KaBooks – Literary Agency of Karolina Jaszecka, and Rights & Licensing by Magda Szpyrko-Ankiewicz.

Discussion Panel with a Polish Representative
On Friday, November 15, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, a panel titled ‘Bridging Worlds: Navigating Cultural Nuances in Children’s Publishing’ will take place as part of the fair’s program. The discussion will feature Karolina Jaszecka, literary agent (KaBooks), as well as Solene Xie (China), translator Jiwone Lee (South Korea), and Sara Wang (China). The meeting will be moderated by Carolina Ballester (Spain), executive director of IBBY.
