The second part of the series – well-received and the winner of awards in Poland – is a wonderfully conceived, wonderfully constructed, and wonderfully told story about the world of Zorza, where people and animals communicate and collaborate with one another.
The protagonist of the first book was Ari, a boy who didn’t hesitate to embark on a road full of dangers in order to rescue his loved ones. Unfortunately, the residents of Tlate Hiin are once again in peril and this time a girl, Kutif, takes matters into her own hands and will have to venture far to find help in the famous city of soothsayers.
The author creates her story in such a way that readers have the impression they’re really travelling through the world of Zorza with the protagonist. And the love of life and truth permeates everything, and the beauty of infinity which is difficult to put into words. That beauty is splendidly expressed in the book’s visual dimension thanks to Mariusz Andryszczyk’s splendid illustrations.
