Let’s Hear It for the Hens! is the third volume in a series whose protagonists are four remarkable Brahma hens, part of the Ogórek family. They take part in the family’s life, but more than anything look after its welfare. They are caring, responsible, judicious and astute.
The author has written a light-hearted story that also inspires serious reflection, based around that omnipresent device: the mobile phone. Slightly grotesquely depicting an average contemporary family, she examines important and very topical subjects linked to addiction to phones and the internet. She amusingly shows us what consequences can occur with the improper use of telephones and what traps lurk for us online. It’s a witty, educational story, underscoring the value of friendship in spite of differences.
