It’s a universal question: it’s one word, depending on the context, subject of the conversation or place where it is asked. It can be the beginning of the solutions to many questions.

It’s a philosophical question; since searching for the origin of events, phenomena, problems or happiness is decidedly the occupation of philosophers.

And finally, it’s a diagnostic question – establishing the cause becomes the beginning of understanding and even of healing.

The book is suitable both for independent reading by a child and reading together with a carer. It might also be the impulse for conversations about the subjects signposted in it. The book has been illustrated by an artist with pictures originating in the public domain, for which reason it encourages us to be creative in that realm, too.
