A Fairy Tale of Fear arose from helplessness, and from the belief that in order to understand fear and reduce its hold over us, we must seek a route through words.

This is a fairy tale for all young people who are haunted by the monsters under the bed and get goosebumps when they hear a noise outside. It is also a story for adults – both those who dislike fear, or might even be scared of it, and those who know it all too well, but lack the words to talk about it. It is an invitation to all of us to shine a light on our fear – because really, it’s just like any other feeling. And there’s nothing to be scared of! (Agnieszka Jucewicz)

Marianna Sztyma created the heart-warming illustrations for “A Tale of Fear”, which are full of additional meaning, making this story about children’s emotions even more appealing to younger (and older) readers.
