(b. 1957) – PhD in technical sciences (specialising in computers); since 1999 translator of short stories and discursive prose (essays, articles, interviews, letters), mostly by Stanisław Lem, into Belarusian and Russian (over 5,000 pages). Author of over 50 articles about Lem’s work, published in nine countries, including Poland; author of a Russian-language book about Lem’s life and his philosophical legacy (Stanisław Lem, 2014); in 2021, he edited and published the multilingual books “Świat Stanisława Lema” (The World of Stanisław Lem, collection of quotations), “Stanisław Lem na świecie” (Stanisław Lem Around the World, excerpts from works), and “Stanisław Lem non fiction. Bibliografia i personalia” (Stanisław Lem Non-fiction. Bibliography and Personal Details, global bibliography with many appendices). Received the Gold Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture, awarded by the Polish state, in 2021.
