About me

My involvement in promoting Polish culture in France has already lasted more than forty years; I devote myself to translation with the passion passed on to me by my Polish language professors at the University of Toulouse and the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales in Paris. My frequent stays in Poland and my reading of Polish literature help me in this work.
Thus, in the early 1980s I began preparing summaries of my readings for several publishers and also translating works of Polish literature for various literary journals. I then collaborated with publishing houses such as Robert Laffont, Plon, Albin Michel, Noir sur Blanc, Phébus, Belfond, Cherche-Midi, Éditions du Rocher, Gallimard, Interférences, Flammarion, Syrtes, Revue des Belles Lettres, Books, Austeria…
Independent of my translation work, I try to popularize the authors I translate by taking part in numerous events, presentations, and media discussions, and by running workshops for young translators.
