Vera Deyanova was born 7th March 1946 in Sofia, where she still live. She graduated ftom University: Sofia University, specialising in Bulgarian philology and history (1966-1969). She was full-time postgraduating studies: University of Warsaw, Department of Journalism and Political Science (1976-1979). She was working in the Bulgarian radio, literature desk – editor (1972-1976); “Znanie” Programme (1990-1993); Institute of Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, “Issues of Sociology” magazine – editor (1996-2003). She is retired since 2003.
