He is a Canadian writer and translator who has lived in Kraków for over twenty-five years. He has translated such authors as Bruno Jasieński, Jerzy Ficowski, Witkacy, and Dorota Masłowska, and in 2026 he will publish translations of Anna Arno, Stanisława Przybyszewska, and Tomasz Szerszeń. He has received the Witkacy Prize for promoting Polish theater abroad and has been a juror for the Kapuściński Prize since 2023.
