Born 1973. Lives in Ankara, Turkey.

Studied Polish philology (1991-1995) at the School of Language and History – Geography of Ankara University. Graduated from MA (2000) and PhD studies (2004) from the Department of Social Sciences at the same university – Faculty of Western Languages and Cultures, specialising in Polish philology. Habilitation in 2007, professorship in 2013.

Lectures mainly in Polish grammar and translation studies; also a supervisor of MA theses devoted to these areas.

Served (2014-2017) as Faculty Head of the Faculty of Slavic Culture and Literature, School of Language and History – Geography, Ankara University, and (2014-2018) head of Faculty of Polish Philology. Since 2020, she has served as Head of Faculty of Polish Philology again, and – since 2014 – has been Head of the Polish Team at the Ankara University Rectorate.

Authored numerous articles and papers about Polish literature, as well as the book Lehçe Dil Bilgisi (Polish Grammar), and co-authored Polonya Edebiyatı: İki Dünya Savaşı Arasındaki Yirmi Yıl (Polish Literature in the Interwar Period). Edited the short story anthology New Stories from the Land of Amber – An Anthology of Modern Polish Literature, published 2014 by Kalem, with support from the Polish Book Institute.

Focused mainly on translation since 2009.
