Niklas Salmi
He is a poet and a translator of Polish literature. He has translated into Finnish, among others, the play Ojcze nasz by Artur Pałyga (Espoo City Theatre, 2020), the play Szewcy by Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz (Quo Vadis Theatre, 2021), the children’s poem Lokomotywa by Julian Tuwim (Kraków: Universitas, 2025), and the popular science book for young readers Ale odlot! Rysunkowa historia lotnictwa by Jacek Ambrożewski (Helsinki: Nemo, 2026). A large selection of Adam Zagajewski’s poetry translated by Salmi will be published in 2026 (Helsinki: Kustannusliike Parkko).
