View profileShe is Full Professor at the Blaže Koneski Faculty of Philology at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Macedonia, where she teaches Polish literature and translation. She also taught Macedonian at the University of Silesia and the Jagiellonian University, and she frequently taught at the summer school of Macedonian culture, literature and language, where she delivered language and translation courses. She was twice awarded the “Golden Quill” prize for the best translation of the year in Macedonia – in 2008, for the translation of Olga Tokarczuk’s Primeval and Other Times and in 2012, for the translation of Bruno Schulz’s Cinnamon Shops and Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass. In 2015, she was awarded the Ryszard Kapuściński Award, for translating Imperium into a new language. In 2024, she was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, for services in popularising Polish literature in Macedonia.
