(1973) – is a Slovenian writer, poet, literary translator, musician, and editor. He studied Polish language and literature at the University of Ljubljana. He has translated around 80 books into Slovenian, including works by Jerzy Pilch, Andrzej Sapkowski, Jacek Dehnel, Jakub Małecki, Krystyna Dąbrowska, and many others. His translations have earned major distinctions, including the Lithuanian Institute of Culture Award (2015), the St. Jerome Prize (2021), and the Lirikonov zlát Award (2024). He is also an accomplished poet and musician who introduces audiences to the rich tradition of Polish sung poetry, often setting Polish poems to his own original music. Having appeared at more than 200 literary events across Europe, Pisk is widely recognized as one of the most active promoters of Polish literature and culture.
