Kate Webster

About me

I am a translator of Polish to English specialising in literature, academic texts and the arts. My published translations include works of fiction, fantasy and reportage, as well as children’s books and comics. My work has been shortlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation (2024) and the Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize (2023), and longlisted for the International Booker Prize (2024). In 2018, I was awarded a place on the 6-month Emerging Translator Mentorship programme under the supervision of Antonia Lloyd-Jones. I am based in London.
