She enjoys working with the written and spoken word (and all that lies behind it) — fluidly transferring Polish to English. She is a professional Polish-to-English translator and Polish-English interpreter. She was brought up in a Polish family in London and studied French, Russian, and Polish at Cambridge University. Following a London-based career in business (information systems and accountancy), she moved to Manchester and returned to her roots — working with languages. She likes translating fiction most of all. Inner Space: A Novel, her translation of Jakub Szamałek’s techno-thriller set on the International Space Station, was published by HarperVia in the summer of 2025.

In 2020, she co-founded the Institute of Translation and Interpreting’s Polish Network. She continues to play an active role and co-host the network’s Polish book club.
