She is a poet and translator of contemporary Polish poetry. She is one of the translators of Krystyna Dąbrowska’s Tideline, finalist for the Derek Walcott Prize, and she also brought into English Jacek Dehnel’s Aperture, a finalist for the PEN Award for Poetry in Translation, and Agnieszka Kuciak’s Distant Lands: An Anthology of Poets Who Don’t Exist. She is also the editor of Scattering the Dark, an anthology of Polish women poets. Her work has been honored with two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Fulbright Research Grant to Poland. Her translations have appeared in Granta, American Poetry Review, and Poetry, and her most recent collection of poems is Portable City (2025).
