A Mexican poet and translator, professor at the University of Warsaw. Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation at the Institute of Iberian and Ibero-American Studies, University of Warsaw. He has published nine volumes of his own poems and more than 30 translated books (mostly from Polish). His scholarly interests include poetic and intersemiotic translation, as well as the relationships between poetic language, ecology, and science. He is an honorary member of the Association of Polish Writers, a member of the Union of Lithuanian Literary Translators, ASLE (Association for the Study of Language and the Environment), and the Tropinka Association for Dialogue. From 2014 to 2017 he was a member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte de México in the field of literary translation.
