Author and translator of children’s books, with a focus on non-fiction themes ranging from astronomy to folklore. Co-author of Faedom, a large-format book published by Big Picture Press (2024), which weaves together science and mythology to create a modern fairy tradition for our times. Winner of the 2017 Best Educational Writing Award from the Society of Authors & ALCS for her translation of The Book of Bees, published by Thames and Hudson in the UK and Abrams in the US. Currently a language editor for the Astronomy & Astrophysics academic journal, based at the Paris Observatory. Holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Psychology from New York University, as well as an M.A. in Cultural Studies from the University of Warsaw. A native New Yorker, she currently lives with her family in London. With a background in primary and middle school education, she takes a pastoral approach to writing for and interacting with young pupils and readers. As a former journalist, she aims for an objective approach to her work, making sure to include a good dose of poetry, magic and humour.
