Marcin Czerkasow
(b. 1981) – poet, English translator, editor and book designer, publisher.
He has published the debut poetry chapbook “Płonące ciasteczko” (The Flaming Cookie, 2006) and the poetry collections “Fałszywe zaproszenia” (False Invitations, 2008), “Przede wszystkim zniszczenia” (Destruction Above All, 2014), “Mountain View” (2022), “Belgijskie rozwiązania” (Belgian Solutions, 2024). The volume Mountain View received the Gdynia Literary Prize (2023), and the book Belgian Solutions – the Silesius Poetry Award (2025). Founder and publisher at Disastra Publishing, which specialises in art books, catalogues and experimental poetry collections. He translated from the English and published Eric Paul’s poetry collection A Popular Place to Explode (2018).
He writes and translates texts about the visual arts. His sketches, ekphrases and poems regarding artworks have been published by gallery and museum publishers across the country.
