Marcin Bies
(b. 1982) – poet, prose writer and editor.
He has published the poetry collections “Funkcje faktyczne” (Actual Functions, 2010), “Renowacja zbytków” (Excess Restoration, 2015), “Wybór drozdów” (Thrushes’ Choice, 2017), “Żale Matki Boskiej pod słupem wysokiego napięcia” (Mother of God’s Sorrow Under a Pylon, 2020) and “mimo Boga” (despite God, 2022), as well as the poetry chapbook “Atrapizm” (Erzatzism, 2009). Active participant of the literary life of the Upper Silesia region, associated with the Instytut Mikołowski (Mikołów Institute) milieu. He has also published poetry and prose in national literary press.
