(b. 1980) – prose writer, essayist, English translator, columnist.
He has published the short story collections “Wist” (Whist, 2014), “Drugie spotkanie” (The Second Encounter, 2017) and “Trzeci dzień świąt” (The Third Day of the Holidays, 2021), the novel “System Sulta” (Sult’s System, 2019), and the collection of literary essays “Anatomia opowiadania” (The Anatomy of a Short Story, 2024), in which he brilliantly analyses works by foreign classics of that genre. He teaches creative writing at the Jagiellonian University and works as a psychologist. He also translates from English, mainly historical literature and science books for a general readership.
Miłkowski’s prose writing has been widely acclaimed by literary critics. His short stories have been translated into English, Spanish and Dutch, and included in many anthologies.
