Holds a literary studies doctorate and works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Wrocław. His reviews, sketches and articles are primarily about very recent poetry, while his research focuses on twentieth-century literature and theory: the history of avant-garde movements, the political aspect of art, the relationship between literature and economics. He has published the collections of critical texts “Wspólny mianownik. Szkice o literaturze i poezji po 2010 roku” (The Common Denominator. Sketches about Literature and Poetry After 2010, 2020), “Wiersz… i cała reszta. Rozważania o poezji i krytyce po 1989 roku” (Poem… and Everything Else. Deliberations on Poetry and Criticism Post-1989, 2021), “Światy nierównoległe. O kobiecych i męskich głosach w poezji ostatnich lat” (Non-Parallel Worlds. Female and Male Voices in Recent Poetry, 2022) and “Darczyńca. Rzecz o poezji Eugeniusza Tkaczyszyna-Dyckiego” (The Benefactor. The Poetry of Eugeniusz Tkaczyszyn-Dycki, 2022). The Common Denominator was nominated for the Gdynia Literary Prize in the essay category (2021).
He is the editor of poetry selections by authors including Agnieszka Wolny-Hamkało, Jarosław Markiewicz (with Dawid Kujawa and Rafał Wawrzyńczyk), Cezary Domarus, Maciej Robert, Joanna Oparek (with Karol Poręba). Member of the editorial team of the online literary magazine “Zakład”, and of the committees for the Wrocław Publishing Programme and the Polish Book Institute’s ©POLAND Translation Programme. Juror of the Lublin-based “Reflektor” Award for best poetry debut, the Tymoteusz Karpowicz Literary Review Competition and the Wiesław Kazanecki Literary Award of the Białystok City Mayor (from 2026).
