Boguś Janiszewski
(b. 1968) – a writer and a teacher.
He graduated in Polish studies at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and is professionally involved in the development of private secondary and tertiary education. He debuted in 2016 with the book “Ekonomia. To, o czym dorośli ci nie mówią” (Economics. What the Adults Are Not Telling You, Publicat). Its success became an impulse to create more popular science publications for children and young adults.
Janiszewski’s books have been shortlisted for many awards, including the Ferdynand the Great Award and the Mądra Książka Roku (Clever Book of the Year) competition in the children’s category. His book “O, choroba” (Sick of This) received the first prize in the comic book category in the Lokomotywa poll in 2021. In that same year it was shortlisted for the Literary Award of the Capital City of Warsaw. Janiszewski’s work was adapted for the stage: the plays “Kosmos” (The Universe), “Polityka” (Politics), Sick of This and “Sztuczna inteligencja” (Artificial Intelligence) were shown in theatres in Katowice, Warsaw, Łódź and Gdańsk.
