Anna Potyra
(b. 1982) – an author of detective novels and books for children and an English scholar by education.
In her children’s books she depicts her characters in a vivid and engrossing way, letting her readers identify with the little protagonists and join in their exciting adventures. She introduces children to an incredible, fairy-tale world, stirring their imaginations and helping them find the answers to their most pressing questions.
Meanwhile, Potyra’s thrilling detective novels – such as the bestselling series with Commissioner Adam Lorenz (‘Pchła’ [The Flea], ‘Potwory’ [Monsters], ‘Pakt’ [The Pact] and ‘Kat’ [The Executioner]) – are intriguing tales about mysterious crimes, always unveiling new pieces of stories in which nothing is as it seems.
